Sports-related concussions may affect cerebral blood flow

A study in the journal Pediatrics showed that cerebral blood flow significantly declined in most children ages 11 to 15 who experienced sports-related concussions. The circulation changes continued after other symptoms had subsided, which researchers said may mean that some children are returning to sports while they are still vulnerable to reinjury.
